Bangalore, May 29, 2007: The 2007 Excellence in Healthcare Awards will see Singapore’s finest players in the healthcare and research industry. Held for the second consecutive year in this region’s healthcare industry, this annual event is organized by Frost & Sullivan to recognize companies with outstanding leadership with excellence in growth and innovation in medical devices, clinical diagnostics, biotechnology, healthcare technologies and pharmaceuticals. The 2007 Excellence in Healthcare Awards is sponsored by Sterling Life Sciences.
The awards function will be held on Friday, June 8, 2007, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore. The event will be officiated by President and Senior Partner of Frost & Sullivan, Mr Aroop Zutshi.
“We are honoring 28 companies who have contributed significantly to changing the face of healthcare in Asia Pacific. These companies have developed truly creative products to meet the challenges faced by the industry and identified emerging trends before they became the standard in the marketplace. Ultimately these discoveries and inventions are contributing to improving the standards of global healthcare. Asia Pacific is now spearheading these discoveries and technologies which is a phenomenal paradigm shift,” said Ms Reenita Das, Vice President of Asia Pacific Healthcare Practice, Frost & Sullivan.
The 28 titles will be awarded within five main categories, which include the Drug Discovery, Medical Imaging, Healthcare IT, Clinical Diagnostic and Medical Devices.
Frost & Sullivan follows a rigorous measurement based methodology to select and short list leading companies in Asia Pacific for each Award category. After which, the short listed companies will be evaluated based on actual market performance indicators. Some measurement parameters used in conducting the detailed evaluation of each short listed company based on actual market performance indicators include revenue growth, breadth of services and solutions and market share in specific category and growth in market share.
