Singapore, Sep 18, 2006: Singapore-based medical device maker Biosensors has announced that it will be participating in the UBS Global Life Sciences Conference which is scheduled for September 25-28, 2006 in New York.

Mr John Shulze, Chief Technology Officer, will make a 30-minute presentation on Monday, September 25, 2006.

The company was in news very recently for its biodegradable drug eluting stents. The company has clarified that its stents do not pose increased coronary risks and that they are safe to use.

Unlike the current generation of DES, Biosensors’ proprietary BioMatrix DES, uses a biodegradable polymer which dissolves into water and carbon dioxide after the drug elution is complete and hence the carrier biodegradable polymer does not remain on the stent surface.
