Singapore, April 17, 2008:  Headquartered in Irvine, California, Edwards Lifesciences Corporation, provider of products and technologies to treat advanced cardiovascular disease, announced that Mr Vernon R. Loucks Jr. is retiring from the company's board of directors, effective May 31, 2008.

 

Mr Loucks, who is chairman of the Aethena Group, has been a director of Edwards since 2000, when the company was spun off from Baxter International as an independent, publicly-held corporation. Mr Loucks previously served as Baxter's chairman and CEO.
