Bangalore, May 13, 2008: Hyderabad headquartered Aurobindo Pharma has received the nod of South Africa’s drug regulator—Medicines Control Council (MCC)— to manufacture and market nine products in South Africa.
The company said in South Africa, the largest economy in Africa, the generic market size for these products is around ZAR 165 million.
In a prepared release, Aurobindo said it has a total of 31 marketing authorizations approved by the MCC.
While Zinoxime and Yomax – are anti-infective while Auro-Lisinopril Co, Auro-Amlodipine and Lisinozide are cardio-vascular system drug and the company has received manufacturing and marketing rights for these products.
