Singapore, March 6, 2008: Singapore-based biopharmaceutical company Moleac has launched NeuroAid10 in the US market to support patients’ neurological functions. NeuroAid10 is derived from NeuroAid and is a dietary supplement that provides support for neurological functions. It is a combination of ingredients from the Chinese medicinal pharmacopoeia, formulated according to international Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Since its launch, 200,000 stroke survivors have used NeuroAid annually in Asia. In addition, a growing number of Americans have already started using NeuroAid regularly with positive results on their neurological functions.
The clinical data obtained with NeuroAid on recovery several months after a stroke has triggered large interest in the neurology community. In October 2007, enrollment began for a multi-center, double blind, and placebo-controlled, randomized trial. This aims to evaluate the efficacy of NeuroAid in reducing neurological deficit and improving independence in patients in rehabilitation, with treatment starting within 48 hours of a stroke
Neurological functions involve the brain and the nervous system. The nervous system connects the entire human body, relaying information back and forth between the brain and the muscles, skin and key organs, allowing actions such as movement, and sensations such as pain. The smooth transmission of information between the brain and the rest of the body is therefore essential for daily activities such as walking, speaking or thinking, and can only occur when neurological functions are healthy and strong
